Spring has Sprung!

Hey beautiful people! How are you all doing? I am good,i am so excited today i don't know about you. I am excited because it is officially spring and yes i have been waiting for this season for the longest time. Don't get it twisted i like winter but just for the winter fashion and also for the fact that it does wonders to my skin but i really can't stand the cold and the constant rain at least now we get some sunshine.

Enough of my rant, now that spring has sprung, it is time for us to drop our heavy coats and show some skin. In this post i was going for some trend i was able to spot from last month which i talked about on my snap (ms_tomiii), on my snap i have a segment called trend talk where i talk about trends i am able to spot on a monthly basis. Bell sleeves and off the shoulders were some of the trends talked about in my February's edition of trend talk.

We all know off the  shoulder have been trending for a while now and i don't think they are going anywhere and bell sleeves also know as trumpet sleeves are a new trend and they are here to stay. Here is me trying to combine both trends and it gave me a chic and casual look that i loved.

Happy spring guys! If you missed the trends fashion week brought our way, you can check them out here.

Hey beautiful people, how are you all doing? I am so excited today because everything about this post is beautiful and i loved everything about this shoot. So me and this photographer have always wanted to work together right from when i started my blog afresh he was even the first photographer i contacted when i was looking for one. Story short life happened we never got to work together. Last December i also wanted to work with him but he was too busy but some time last month we finally got to work together like we were both free on the same day and we made magic, i guess you can tell from the pictures.

The shoot lasted literally for 10 minutes because it was so cold and man the pictures came out lit.

I know i have been talking non fashion stuff so let go back to fashion because that is why we are really here. So if you are part of my snap fam (ms_tomiii) you would remember i promised y'll a colour blocking 101 because right now colour blocking is trending and there is a wrong and right way to colour block and i would love my TPJays to do it the right way.

When i think of colour blocking rainbow comes to my mind, colour blocking is not just all about putting colours together but the ability to put colours together and they match and compliment each colours, you just have to be creative because colour blocking can go wrong.

Here are some tips:

1. Use simple and bold colors like orange, green, purple.

2. Your whole outfit does not have to have different colors from my outfit it was only my sweater that had the color mix that is a safe way to color block.

3. When picking accessory make sure you use neutral colors, i did not have accessories in this outfit but i made sure my jeans and trainers were neutral colors just to balance the colors.

4. Don't add prints, floral, patterns, strips into the mix just keep it simple so your whole outfit does not look like a joke.

5. Your make up should be as natural as possible, you really don't want to be looking like the color wheel.

Okay now i am going to talk a little bit on the sweatshirt as it is the star of this whole outfit. A lot of people have asked me where i got this sweatshirt from you can find out in the 'cop my style' section. I would strongly recommend this sweatshirt as it is so comfy, it keeps you warm to an extent and definitely keeps you trendy.

Hey guys, yes i am back again and i am here to share my favorite looks from last night AMVCA. The actresses were not playing at all. Most of them slayed in their Nigerian designed dresses. Nigerian fashion designers are not playing as well. Just before i start i want to say how much i love Jenifa (Funke Akindele-Bello) she is such an inspiration. She slayed last night as well and she won two awards (best TV series and best actress in comedy).

The trend i spotted was lace and the ball dress theme. Almost everyone had lace one and almost everyone was dressed as a princess. My oh my! Nigerian women are beautiful, if you say otherwise cash me outside how bah dah! Not in any particular order my best dressed are;

1. Rita Dominic: Would you believe she is 41? She slayed the outfit man! I can't even say much she slayed it with class. And she won best actress last night for her role suzy in 76.

2. Ini Dima-Okojie: If you follow her on Instagram you would know she is a fashionista so i was not surprised when she pulled off this look. What a beaut! This dress got my heart and it is Fablane by Derin.

3. Somkele: Can we take a minute to appreciate this dress, she looked stunning. I love the details and cuts of the dress. It gives her a chic and elegant look. She won the trailblazer award.

4. Adesua: She was born to slay. I love the details of her dress and the dress compliments her skin tone. This dress was designed by Mai Atafo, I am still in awe of the wonders Nigerian designers are doing in the fashion industry and i must say i am proud. I am so sure the movie she premiered in 'the wedding party' would win an AMVCA next year.

5. Sharon: At some point i was saying 'shalewa' (her name in SGIT) was the finest girl in Nollywood but after last night man i can't pin point the finest lady in Nollywood. But she definitely killed her outfit. I loved the gold details and the dress was just perfect for her body type. Most of these dresses could act as wedding dress inspo.

Pictures are from instagram.
Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!!
